Cheryl Haywood is one of
RAMS’s most recent additions
as principal of RAMS Home
Loans Southern Vales.
Cheryl has more than
20 years’ experience in
the mortgage industry and
says she was first attracted
to the franchise opportunity
because of the strength
of the brand, the rewarding
structure, and the
opportunity of being
the first RAMS franchisee
in Adelaide.
“I found the entire application
process so supportive, and
the encouragement and
confidence I received just
proved to me that
I was dealing with a very
professional and reputable
company,” she said.
RAMS already has more than
3000 customers in South
Australia and is continuing
to grow its customer base
at a rapid rate which is in
line with economic growth
in the state.
Over the past financial
year, the business has
had a 28 per cent increase
in the number of home
loans settled in SA. “I think
that what sets RAMS apart
from other franchises is
its level of support,”
Cheryl said.
“The direct access you have
as a franchisee to head
office has been fantastic
and it has been great to
be able to develop a close
relationship with the
product and credit teams
as well as the lending
managers. I have found the
head office teams to be
really responsive.”
The benefits of being part of
a major brand also appealed
to her. “Everybody in the
mortgage business wants to
provide the best possible
customer service, but I’ve
found that my efforts are
multiplied because of the
brand recognition that RAMS
has,” Cheryl said.
“I’m now benefiting from a
recognised brand that’s won
Money magazine’s Non-Bank
Lender of the year in 2009
and 2010, and a determined
bunch of people all pitching
in together to provide the
best home loan service
possible. “I am very happy as
a RAMS franchisee.”
