RAMS launches mobile website for home buyers

MEDIA RELEASE

17 February 2010

Calculating your potential monthly repayments while you’re out viewing prospective properties just got a lot easier thanks to RAMS new mobile website.

The website, 13RAMS.mobi, optimised to use on any internet enabled mobile phone, lets users calculate what their indicative monthly home loan repayments would be when they’re out and about. The website also includes a call-back option where users can request a call back from a RAMS customer service representative simply by entering their phone number.

RAMS Head of Franchise, Clive Kirkpatrick said, “RAMS mobile website is incredibly easy to use and provides potential home buyers with useful information when they need it, regardless of where they are.

“With 13RAMS.mobi, home buyers can work out how much their indicative mortgage repayments would be while at an inspection or ask a RAMS customer service representative to contact them for further assistance.”

Although mobile devices and networks that support them are improving, many websites are very content heavy and not suited to browsing on a mobile phone. But with over 170 million internet enabled phones sold worldwide in 2009 alone there are a lot of people looking to access the internet from their mobile phone.

Mr Kirkpatrick continued, “We toyed with the idea of developing an iPhone App but we believe a mobile website that is accessible from any internet enabled mobile phone is better suited to everyday Australians.”
