Local RAMS small business owners, Leon Owen and Charles McCowen took home the Marketing Hero Award at the annual RAMS National Franchise Awards 2014 for their ongoing contribution to and support of their local community. Principals of RAMS Home Loan Centre Toowoomba, Leon and Charles accepted the prestigious award for a second consecutive year, at the RAMS National Conference gala dinner held on Friday 29 August. "I am proud to be a small business owner in my home town of Toowoomba and to be able to help so many locals realise the great Australian dream of home ownership. "Since we opened the doors to the RAMS Home Loan Centre in Toowoomba in June 2012, we have prided ourselves on being and staying connected with the local community - supporting many local events and programs to help give back to the community," said Leon Owen. "This award is great recognition for the hard work and commitment we strive to achieve every day. Speaking at the awards dinner, RAMS CEO, Martine Jager congratulated Leon and Charles for their passion for their local community. Taking out the Bunty-Ann Gebbett Rookie Award, formally known as the RAMS New Franchise of the Year Award, were newcomers, Robert and Rachel Slekenics from RAMS Home Loan Centre Adelaide North. Ms Jager went on to congratulate the RAMS Toowoomba team for their outstanding performance in developing a localised marketing campaign that clearly promotes the RAMS proposition as a leader in the Australian home loan market. "Leon and Charles' commitment to supporting their community and going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service is a winning combination, making the Toowoomba team highly deserving of the Marketing Hero Award," she said.
